Sponsorship Opportunities - Call of the Wild in Flagstaff
Plan B Foundation for Wolves will present Call of the Wild, a traveling participatory public art installation, at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff Saturday, October 12, noon until 6 pm. Call of the Wild celebrates the power of the human pack and the strength of our collective voices to protect wolves, wildlife and the Endangered Species Act.
The Endangered Species Act, once celebrated by conservationists for protecting threatened wildlife, and despite being supported by the majority of Americans, is now in danger of being significantly weakened. The public is invited to Call of the Wild to paint, draw and write their messages of support on the mural, contributing their voices, in words or images, to help protect wolves, wildlife and the Endangered Species Act.
Guaranteed to draw a crowd, this fun, free, family-friendly event will be held in partnership with Grand Canyon Wolf Recovery Project. In addition to the Call of the Wild participatory art installation, the event will feature live music by grassroots Americana band Thunder & Lightnin', a puppet show and a face painter to entertain kids, giveaways of T-shirts and band-signed CDs, and educational information about wolves, wolf dogs, and legislation affecting all wildlife.
Food and beverage will not be sold or served, making this an excellent opportunity for restaurants and cafes in the downtown area.
