My passion for wolves was ignited in 2013 when I visited the Medicine Wheel Lodge and their four rescued wolves. I was immediately drawn to these amazing creatures and when I moved to Los Angeles, became a volunteer at Wolf Connection to fully immerse myself in education, programming and pack care.
Wolf Connection rescues wolves and wolf dogs, working with them and troubled youth and adults going through recovery. Being a part of the healing process for both humans and wolves was one of the most amazing experiences of my lifetime.
I have since relocated to Sedona, Arizona and began to seek opportunities in which I could bring awareness and support to wolves in my new hometown. With my expertise in nonprofits, specifically marketing and development, I decided to offer those services for free to all groups who support wolves. Hence the name Plan B…every organization needs a plan and then a Plan B.
The idea began with bringing Medicine of the Wolf and Apex Protection Project to Sedona for two days of films, education, fundraising and programming. We brought the wolves to the schools, as we believe the change in attitude toward wolves will need to come from our youth. The overall effort was extremely successful with fundraising goals and awareness exceeded and with that Plan B was launched.
My vision for Plan B also includes an established emergency fund and eventual sanctuary. The emergency fund will support all nonprofit groups who have an immediate financial need related to the rescue, support, care, advocacy, etc., of wolves and wolf dogs. The sanctuary right now is an intention with more to come …
Please join me in this effort to support and save wolves and wolf dogs.
